Day Five: The Poet
I wanted to share one of my current favorite paintings in the Musée d’Orsay with you. It’s Portrait of Eugène Boch by Vincent van Gogh, painted in September of 1888, in Arles. Van Gogh called the painting The Poet, but it is also sometimes referred to as The Painter and the Stars. Boch was not a poet, but Vincent thought he looked like one.
