Dear readers,
Or should I say dear writers, since this is intended for the writers and writing-curious among you. As part of this project to re-visit and re-share old notebook entries as a way to keep the newsletter going while still on “sabbatical,” I’m also going to start doing some Essay Camps again.
Since I cannot yet return to teaching, these will be repeated courses with a few updates, without anything daringly new. I’m sorry for that. But I hope that it’s something, and that you can find them useful anyway. Like I said, and I think many of you agree: the container and the camaraderie itself can go a long way.
So, by popular demand (thank you very much!) it looks like doing one this month will work for enough of you for it to make sense.
I’ve decided that Saturday November 15th through Wednesday November 19th are the dates most likely to work for the largest number of you. I know it’s not much notice, but it does include a weekend, which I know helps some of you, and won’t overlap with Thanksgiving week for the Americans.
If you’re unfamiliar, you can expect to spend between 20 minutes to as long as you want on the daily “assignments.” If you can’t manage it this time, don’t worry, we’ll do another one again in a few months time.
So there you have it. Let’s do this 💪 xo
Summer

Summer,
Thank you.

Is there a specific time each day for this—e.g., is this live/virtual, or is this asynchronous effort? Thank you!
