Such lovely, visual, vivid writing. For all you know, the ducks might know you from before, perhaps they are ones you saved, or those you saved shared the story of you.
When we connect, and communicate, with the natural world of animals, plants, trees and water, and a few special, like-minded friends, we know more about the meaning of our existence as part of creation itself. It's an awesome experience and feeling, in the presence of what is sacred.
Beautiful writing, Summer. Pulled me right in. For me, it's the peacocks and the cats at Parc de Bagatelle. The cats seem to remember me but the peacocks.....not so sure. There is an albino peacock there and I can keep track of him but the others...?

The birds who know us remember us. I'm convinced. This is so lovely! Thank you for sharing. Sandy
More beautiful, painful proof that Los Angeles and Paris have little in common, and Paris wins.
Beautiful writing! I’m interested to kon if this is a piece of fiction or creative nonfiction?
It’s so great diving into your writing. It’s like getting lost and feeling a smile / grin on your face doing it. 🫶
Your writing resonates with me, deeply. Thank you for the de facto encouragement and inspiration. ❤️
Ive never gone to Paris and likely never will. But at least I can visit vicariously through words like these.
Oh. I sighed and was riveted to every word—can’t even tell you why. That’s a beautiful thing.

Just beautiful. Such a lovely read.
But did the crepes befriend you? ;)
Difficult to know what stories about you are circulating through the flock! “she walks among us again”
Lovely piece; thank you.
Summer in winter with a full set of teeth. Envoûtant!
More nonsense about ducks, I know! I can't help it.
