The essence of this is what made me so drawn to your writing. Thank you for not being the "elitist writer" that only writes soulless words so they can end up perching on some sort of popularity list. By not being one of the cool kids, you have become the coolest one of all.
Hi Summer, I saw you post a Monet essay on Twitter just now - I was a Patron and I didn't receive it via email via Substack. The Patreon announcement said we didn't have to do anything to switch over, but should I just go ahead and sign up for Substack?

Congrats! I just started with Substack but totally get wanting to protect what this has been for you. I too feel the pressure to have everything polished and buttoned up but I think sometimes looser is better, more connective, like people want to see your thoughts in progress rather than you’ve got everything figured out. But excited for you.
